Es un librito dedicado al futuro del maíz, a los niños y estudiantes de México y Nuevo México para inspirar e informar a las nuevas generaciones de agricultores.

El folleto fue escrito por el Maestro John McLeod en 2001.  

El relato desde una perspectiva estadounidense trata del origen y la vida junto al maíz en Nuevo México  y cuenta la intervención de la industria en la siembra industrial, el procesamiento y la modificación genética del maíz.

Fue editado en inglés y español para actualizar el tema del maíz transgénico por Ana Ruiz Díaz y Chris A. Wells.

Ambas ediciones fueron patrocinadas por el Proyecto de Todas las Especies y se han repartido en escuelas de Oaxaca, Jalisco, México y Nuevo México.

Dra Ana Ruiz Díaz es asesora independiente en agricultura orgánica y permacultura y es parte del colectivo que demandó a cinco transnacionales y dos secretarías del gobierno mexicano para detener el maíz GM. This booklet was first written by teacher John McLeod in 2001.

It is a story of corn from the USA’s perspective,

of industry’s intervention in mono cultivation, processing

and genetic modification of corn.  The original text

was edited in English and Spanish by Ana Ruiz Díaz

and Chris Wells in order to update the theme of transgenic corns…

Both editions were made possible thanks to All Species Project and have been delivered to high schools in Oaxaca, Jalisco and México City as well as in New Mexico.

John McLeod is an early childhood learning expert teacher, storywriter, cartoonist and puppeteer.

Dr Ana Ruiz Díaz is an independent advisor on organic farming and permaculture and is part of the collective that sued five transnational and two federal ministgries to stop GM corn in Mexico.
